CBSE AIEEE 2009 Result announced

Results of All India Engineering Entrance Examination were announced by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday. Result is available in the CBSE website,, a release issued by the board said. 
About 9,62,119 students had appeared in the test conducted at 1460 centres across the country. Students qualifying the exam will be eligible for admission to National Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technology, government-funded institutions and deemed universities. There were nearly 78,000 candidates in Delhi. For foriegn candidates CBSE has set up centres in Dubai and Riyadh. The state-funded engineering institutes have 15 per cent reservation for the students qualifying AIEEE. There were about 18,000 seats in these institutions last year. 

The number of seats are expected to cross 20,000 this year. Central counselling for admission will be held in third week of June.
